Bombay. London. Dubai.
My artwork is influenced by two of my greatest personal interests; wildlife and Islamic architecture.
The former inspired the majority of my early artwork which explores the world as we know it; one dominated by the human form. I portray it using animal juxtapositions in an ornate style making my pieces seem surreal yet wonderful. Personally, I respond to black and white, both in the literal sense and metaphoric. Yet, like any other person, not without that little splash of colour. You will find that these character traits resonate in many of my pieces.
After relocating to the Middle East, my artwork has been heavily influenced by the detailed and ornate architecture in the region. I am inspired by the symmetry and organic patters in the interiors and exteriors of the monumental Islamic structures. It is this inspiration that is reflected in my complex hyper detailed compositions. My ornate works include intricate designs incorporating both Islamic and Asian patterns resulting in a vibrant fusion of cultural art forms. I work with Inks, Acrylic and Charcoal to give my pieces greater depth and strength.
More recently, my artwork resonates more with my Indian roots. Most of my latest pieces incorporate Mandalas portraying underlying journeys, leading to the formulation of complex ornate compositions. Here, I have continued to explore the use of Acrylics alongside Inks to give a combination of boldness and beauty.

11 ft x 10 ft
Painted one of my classic ornate lions to transform the entrance lobby of Dubai's very own community theatre for performing arts, The Junction. This piece takes design inspiration from traditional Indian and Islamic Architecture dating back to the 12th century.
This 11 ft mural is a fusion artwork bringing the traditional form of mandala design together with a more pop style of ornate line work. The face of the lion has been completed using the stippling technique adding another layer of complexity and depth.
This artwork took over 250 hours and some very intense ladder balancing skills to complete!
